California Coastal Impacts Resource Fair

Earlier this year, severe winter storms, flooding, landslides, and mudslides ravaged California, causing extensive damage to numerous homes and businesses and posing a threat to the livelihoods of people throughout the state. These storms also underscored the unique vulnerabilities faced by coastal communities in the wake of climate change.

In response to these challenges, an event was organized to raise awareness about state and federal programs aimed at enhancing the resilience of California’s coastal communities.

Virtual California Coastal Resources Fair Recap

The Virtual California Coastal Resources Fair took place on May 18, 2023. The event spanned from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm PDT. During this time, speakers from Federal and State agencies provided concise overviews of their latest resources and tools, specifically tailored to support local initiatives for coastal resilience planning and implementation.
